Seahawk Nation, it’s a big day for Riviera Athletics as both Volleyball and Football hit the road to Santa Maria for District play!
🏐 Volleyball – First serve at 4:30 PM
🏈 Football – Kickoff at 7:30 PM
We need all of Seahawk Nation in the stands, loud and proud, to cheer on our student-athletes as they fight for district wins. Bring the energy, wear your Kelly Green, and let’s show Santa Maria what Seahawk pride is all about!

Our Middle School Seahawks claimed a big win Thursday night, defeating the Hebbronville Longhorns 20–6 with a strong showing on both sides of the ball.
Offensively, Jaime Gonzalez lit up the scoreboard with two touchdowns, while Derrik Gonzalez added another to help seal the victory.
On defense, the Seahawks showcased grit and determination, holding Hebbronville to just one score. Lucas Guevara, Christopher Peña, and Liam Mayberry anchored the defensive effort, consistently shutting down drives and making big plays when it mattered most.
The win is a testament to the Seahawks’ growth, discipline, and team-first mentality.
Next up, the Seahawks will face Santa Maria on Thursday at 5:30 PM at Artie De La Rosa Football Field.

🧬 Exploring Cell Membranes in Biology! 🫧
Last week, Mrs. Peña’s Biology students conducted a Cell Membrane Bubble Lab to model how cell membranes work. Using soap bubbles, students explored concepts like flexibility, selective permeability, and self-repair, all key features of real cell membranes. Hands-on activities like this help our students connect classroom learning to real-world biology! 🌟
