This past Saturday 11/16/24, the boys' basketball program Hosted their annual Alumni game. The Alumni fell back quickly to the current players as the score was 33-11 at the end of the 1st half. The Alumni were down as much as 24 points, but the Alumni made a valiant comeback in the 2nd half to bring the deficit down to 7 points. It was definitely a fun and exciting finish to the game, and even though the Alumni made a valiant effort at the end, it was not enough as the Current Players took the WIN 50- 43 in the 2024 Boys Basketball Alumni Game! Halftime 3pt Shootout was even more intense as Matt Mascorro (current) faced off against Adam Tencate (alumni) in the championship round of the contest. Matt Mascorro went first and ended with 14 total points. Adam went next and by the 3rd basketball rack he had already scored 13 pts, with 2 full racks (10 shots) left to go in the contest. It was a nail biter, but Adam ended up missing his last 10 shots of the contest, giving the 3 pt shootout crown to Matt Mascorro! *Skills Challenge Postgame- Owen Bryant and Matt Mascorro went into the championship rd. Matt Mascorro went first and completed the trail in 17 secs. Owen took next and with a valiant effort still could not beat Matt's time. Matt Mascorro took the Skills Challenge crown as well! It was a very fun and entertaining Alumni game, thank you for everyone that participated, everyone that came out to support, and everyone that helped to make it happen!! *SEAHAWKS BASKETBALL!!*

Ms. Houston met with our 8th grade girls during a Guidance Lesson to discuss a very important topic: Respect. The girls were able to share their input and spark conversations about how we can show respect to others. Our counselors have been working with all of our students to help strengthen their relationships, build their own self-confidence, and become more aware of how we treat those around us.
