Junior Year

Junior Year

Junior Year happens fast. Stop and slow down. You are a master at your craft. Whether it is academics, athletics, or clubs, you should be exceling at something. If you aren’t, talk to your parents, teachers, and counselor. Junior year counts. You are half way in all of your studies. By this point it is difficult to make big changes in your class rank, but not impossible.

If you are not on track for graduation, high school or associate’s, it is the perfect time to work hard and get to be where you need to be. If you are hoping to have a job and leave half-day your Senior Year, plan for it now.

Your core classes will be the following:

  • English III or CBC’s ENGL 1301/1302

  • Algebra II

  • Physics

  • U.S. History

For all other courses you will follow the Personal Graduation Plan you created your Freshman Year. You must have an Endorsement to graduate on the Distinguish Plan. You by this point should have taken a Principles class, those are your CTE Level 1 classes, and a CTE Level 2 class.

Junior year, you are able to take CTE Level 3. These classes are:

  • Ag Fabrication

  • Livestock

  • Vat Medicine Applications

  • Interior Design II
